Eddie
Hi, I’m Eddie – I am one of the tutors for Metatutor and have been tutoring with them for over a year and a half now. I started working as a maths tutor before coming to university and was surprised at how rewarding and enjoyable I found it. Since coming to university working for Metatutor has been an ideal job, with hours typically outside of school time making it easy to manage alongside studies alongside a skillset and content which I feel especially qualified for having recently studied and sat the same content modules for GCSE and A-Level. I enjoy being able to provide support and advice to help students with their studies and exam technique as I know first-hand the impact this can have, having struggled with this myself in school. I find it rewarding to see a students understanding and confidence in a certain area of maths develop over the course of the year and it is always nice hearing that a student you have taught has achieved better grades than they were expecting at the end of the year.

About Me:
I am currently in my second year studying Chemistry at the University of Bristol and have enjoyed living in the city for the last year and a half. Outside of studies I enjoy playing the guitar and have written some songs. I am a big fan of cinema and have watched many films over the years, I even saw Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in person at the London film festival in 2019. I belong to the University’s wild swimming society and enjoy going to local rivers and pools with them on Sunday mornings for a swim before the week starts.
What I love about Bristol
As a big fan of going out and doing things I enjoy the fact that there is so much to see and do in Bristol, whether it’s one of the many cinemas such as the watershed or showcase, museums close to the centre like M-Shed or local business like Eat A Pitta with branches across the city, it’s hard to stay bored. I also enjoy going to the pub quiz at Steam every Tuesday night with friends to test our general knowledge and try to win a prize.
